SPELLING CONTRACT
Fall 2008

MONDAY: Complete the handout. Keep your word list in your binder or folder.

TUESDAY: Put ALL of the spelling words, including bonus words, in alphabetical order. Turn it in on paper as a list.

OR

Create spelling flash cards. Put them in ABC Order. Turn in the set of cards in order with a rubber band or paper clip with your name on the back.

OR

On a piece of lined paper, sort the words in a way that makes sense to you. Write 1-2 sentences explaining why you sorted them that way.

WEDNESDAY: Choose four spelling words. Use those words in a “chunky” second grade sentence. Draw a picture to go along with your sentence. Please COLOR your picture.

THURSDAY:
Pick 5-8 spelling words. Use each word in a “chunky” second grade sentence and underline the spelling word in each sentence.

OR

Pick 5-8 spelling words. Create a poem using the chosen spelling words. Your poem does NOT have to rhyme, but it does have to make sense.

FRIDAY: Test!!!!!
