Welcome to The Carey School
Thank you for your interest in The Carey School. Our staff, parents, and students are excited for you to learn more about our school community and we hope you enjoy looking at our website.
The Carey School has a rich and enduring tradition, begun by James and Mary Carey in 1928. For over eighty years, The Carey School has been committed to instilling a passion for learning, fostering a sense of social responsibility, and encouraging the development of personal integrity within each of its students.
There are various opportunities to visit our campus and get to know The Carey School community. Please note our Key Dates so you can familiarize yourself with our admissions process and events calendar. Using our website, you can Request Admission Information.
Children must be four years of age and five years of age on or before September 1st of the year they enter to be eligible applicants for the pre-kindergarten and kindergarten programs, respectively. Applicants to all other grade levels are age-assessed on an individual basis.
The Carey School offers a generous needs-based financial assistance program for both tuition and daycare. We hope that finances, alone, will never prevent any family from applying to Carey. For more information, please refer to the Financial Assistance section on this website.
While the admissions process is an exciting time for families, it can also be daunting. Please do not hesitate to contact me with your thoughts or questions at any time, or simply to introduce yourself. I can be reached by telephone at (650) 345-4410 or by email at .
I join the entire Carey School community in welcoming you to our website. We hope to see you on campus soon!
Sincerely,
Dana Goldberg
Director of Admission
