Overview of the Development Office

The Development office is responsible for the coordination of school-wide fundraising campaigns including the Annual Fund and Capital Campaign. This office is also in the process of developing and implementing the Grandparents Program, the Alumni Relations Program and Marketing including Communications. Lastly, this office works as a liason between the school and the CSPA (parent association) on their fund raising events as well.

Each year, The Carey School families, as well as alumni and their families, grandparents, faculty, staff and administration, show support for our mission and commitments by giving to The Carey School Annual Fund. As with most independent schools, we depend on our school community to help make up the difference between tuition income and the actual cost of educating a Carey School Student.

Not only is our goal to raise the funds necessary to reach our financial goal but also to encourage every family, faculty member, and Board of Trustee to be a part of the team with a goal of 100% participation from all of our interested constituencies.

The following sections in development go into more detail including a summary spreadsheet of Giving at The Carey School including Ways to Give, Annual Giving including Frequently Asked Questions, Ways to Give, and Grandparents and Special Friends Program.

As always, should you have any questions regarding development please feel free to email to lfowler@careyschool.com or call (650)345-4410.
