Welcome - Note from CSPA President

Welcome to the Carey School Parents Association (CSPA)! The dedication and commitment of the faculty, administration and the parents is what makes your child's experience at the Carey School exceptional. The CSPA is comprised of a remarkable group of hardworking, enthusiastic and tireless parents who are committed to making the Carey School an extraordinary experience for their child/children. Parents can become involved in a variety of ways - volunteering in classroom related activities, teacher appreciation, parent education, community events, fundraisers - to name just a few. Parents find volunteering and being an active member of the Carey community a rewarding and enriching experience for themselves and their children.

The CSPA's primary role is to build a sense of community and secondarily to raise funds to benefit our children. Our two major fundraisers are the Walk-a-thon/Careyfest (taking place in the fall) and the Auction (held in the spring). Both events are highly anticipated by parents and children alike. Proceeds from the fundraisers are directed towards a larger annual project that is identified by the school's leadership and the CSPA at the beginning of the year.

The primary communication vehicle for the parent community is the Wednesday Weekly, distributed via email to all Carey families. This is a key tool in being kept abreast of activities and news from the school. Additionally, the CSPA holds 4-5 meetings throughout the school year. These meetings are open to all parents.

The CSPA executive team is focused on making your experience as a Carey parent a positive one. Please feel free to contact any of us if you have any questions, comments or suggestions. We hope your experience at Carey is a rewarding one!
